We’re over half way through 2019 and I’ve completely smashed my Goodreads reading challenge already! It’s time to freak out about the books I’ve read so far and I’ve seen this tag around a lot in the last few weeks. I thought it’d be a great little tag to pick up and make into a yearly post. So, without further ado, here’s my first Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag.

Happy Birthday: 20 Facts About Me | 30 Days of April #27
It’s my birthday today! Happy birthday to meee! It feels like it was just yesterday when the boyfriend took me to Barcelona as a surprise for my 30th last year. The whole year has literally flown by and quite a bit has changed since. We’ve moved house, I’ve changed jobs (again), I’ve read more in the past year than I ever have – to name a few. I was recently tagged to do a “Get to Know the Bookstagrammer” on Instagram and as today is ALL ABOUT ME, here are 20 facts about me: 🐾 I started Bookstagram when I was 30 🐾 I love books (duh!) 🐾 I have…

The Book Cake Tag | 30 Days of April #25
What the hell, Kat. Not Another tag, again?! Hey, hey stop judging! There is a bit of a reason why today is the best day for Book Cake tag. It’ll be my birthday in two days and I WANT CAKE. Believe this tag has been around for a long-long time and I’m not entirely sure who actually came up with it. Who every you are- what an absolute legend! Such a great idea (and now I want cake even more). FLOUR: A book that was really slow to start but picked up as it went along Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn. It was a struggle at first, and I wished…

Bookskatlikes in book tags | 30 days of April #12
I cannot believe we’re nearly half way through April, and as such also the Aprilathon! Today I bring to you another book tag. I found this on the Bibliophile Girl’s blog and following my yesterday’s post, it felt like a perfect day to do the My Blog’s Name in Books tag for you. Rules: Spell out your blog’s name. Find a book from your TBR that begins with each letter. NOTE: You cannot ADD to your TBR to complete this challenge – the books must already be on your Goodreads TBR. (I’m changing this to my home library TBR (rebel!)) Books Kat Likes B – Bad Twins by Rebeca Chance O – One…

How Do I Rate Books | 30 Days of April #10
Since I started logging all the books I read, I’ve always used a 5 star rating system. The trouble with rating the books that way though is that everyone has their own ways of deciding what the numbers mean to them. Say we both loved the book and I gave it a solid 5, but according to your system you will only give it a 4. I know a lot of reviewers analyse the book to it’s core to give it a rating. I haven’t developed a criteria as such yet and generally just go with how I feel about the book when I finish it. I’m still very-very new to…

Reading Habits Tag | 30 days of April #9
Found this fun tag on Vivatramp. Looks like the original creator’s video nor channel exist anymore, so unfortunately I’m unable to link them! But lets discuss reading habits today, anyway! A friend of mine has the funniest, and most annoying habit when she reads – she strokes the page she’s on with her thumb. Omg that noise! Anyone else do that?! I like to smell books before I read them. Yes, a weirdo, but tell me honestly is there a better smell in the world than a new book? No. That’s right!

Happy Tuesday everyone. The day has come where bookskatlikes is joining the popular meme they lovingly call TMST. Not sure if this will be something I’ll be hot on every week or when the discussion promt speaks to me, but lets see, right?
