Happy publication day to I Know Who You Are by Alice Feeney! Firstly, let me say my thank you’s to NetGalley, Alice Feeney and HQ for the free ARC in exchange for an honest review. What a ride, goddam! Here’s what it’s all about:

Goodreads Shelves | 30 Days of April #19
It’s Good Friday and with that the 4 day weekend in the UK has begun! I’m also on holiday until the end of the month, so life is good! I look forward to flying home to see my family. I will also have a lot of time over the next week or so to tackle all the books left to read in April. How exciting! Tell me, how do you guys use Goodreads? I’m trying to get myself into using it more. Before now, I’ve only really used it to add books that I’ve read either after I finished them, or as I’m reading them. But I realised there’s so…

Top 3 Books of 2019 (so far) | 30 Days of April #15
We’re half way through April! Hurrah! This also means that we’re more than a quarter through 2019 and it’s time to give an update on the books I’ve got through so far this year. To be honest, I haven’t been reading an awful lot, but have managed to get through 16 books in the last few months. Here are my top 3 books of 2019, so far: Let Me Lie 2019 started off strong! Let Me Lie was the first 5* read this year. It’s incredible emotional roller-coaster and everything a thriller should be. Twists coming at you at every corner until the very end. At no point can you…

Bookskatlikes in book tags | 30 days of April #12
I cannot believe we’re nearly half way through April, and as such also the Aprilathon! Today I bring to you another book tag. I found this on the Bibliophile Girl’s blog and following my yesterday’s post, it felt like a perfect day to do the My Blog’s Name in Books tag for you. Rules: Spell out your blog’s name. Find a book from your TBR that begins with each letter. NOTE: You cannot ADD to your TBR to complete this challenge – the books must already be on your Goodreads TBR. (I’m changing this to my home library TBR (rebel!)) Books Kat Likes B – Bad Twins by Rebeca Chance O – One…

TBR Shelf Shame | Updated TBR | 30 Days of April #11
My boyfriend made a point the other day when he noticed that I had bought yet another book. (It was Pet Sematary, so totally okay!) He accused me of storing books everywhere; that anywhere he looked there were stacks of books and I can’t even fit them on the bookshelf anymore! (I personally think that we just don’t have enough shelves!!) It got me thinking that surely I’ve made a bit of progress with my TBR and there aren’t actually THAT many unread books in our house. Right?! Riiiiight, so back in January I wrote a post about the TBR from Hell and how I planned to tackle it. You…

Book Review | Blacklands by Belinda Bauer
Today’s post is a review for Belinda Bauer Blacklands. So it’s now officially official. I love Belinda Bauer’s books, and there’s nothing you can do about it! I fell in love with Bauer’s writing when reading Snap (see review here), and have since also read Rubbernecker (my thoughts about that one here) and it is no surprise Blacklands was equally enjoyable.

Reading Habits Tag | 30 days of April #9
Found this fun tag on Vivatramp. Looks like the original creator’s video nor channel exist anymore, so unfortunately I’m unable to link them! But lets discuss reading habits today, anyway! A friend of mine has the funniest, and most annoying habit when she reads – she strokes the page she’s on with her thumb. Omg that noise! Anyone else do that?! I like to smell books before I read them. Yes, a weirdo, but tell me honestly is there a better smell in the world than a new book? No. That’s right!

A Chat With a Genie | 30 days of April #7
I recently finished “A Whole New World- A Twisted Tale” (review here) which made me think – what would I wish for if I was to bump into a Genie one day? As a greedy human I would definitely have more than three wishes, but I’ve tried my hardest to narrow it down to three bookish wishes. 📖 I wish I was a fast reader. My first wish is definitely to become a speedy reader. I average about 1.5 books a week and come nowhere near the super fast readers I see in this community. How can anyone read in excess of 16 books a month is absolutely beyond me.…

Audio Books’ Pros and Cons | 30 days of April #6
Audio books – yay or nay? Honestly, I cannot remember audio books being so popular a few years back as they are now. Is it just me? It’s like every published book has an audio format. As a child I loved to listen to fairy tales. Those were the days we used to have, brace for it.. CASSETTES! Those were my first “audio books”, and I absolutely loved them. Now, as an adult I do enjoy them, but no-where near as much as I used to as a kid.

Blogger Recognition Award | 30 Days of April #5
Wednesday night took an interesting turn after I scrolled through some new blog posts on WordPress – as you do. Stephanie, over at shesprobablyatthelibrary, had published a post about the Blogger Recognition Award. I thought it was so nice that someone had taken time to nominate her and recognise the hard work and effort she puts into her blog. I had planned something similar, a blogger love share, post for today and of course clicked to read her’s. To my absolute surprise I saw my own name on her list of book bloggers who she in turn wanted to shout out. My little heart ALMOST couldn’t take it. Thank you so much…
