Well, hello there sweet cheeks! Today I bring you one of the most exciting blog tours that I have been involved with since the beginning of Bookskatlikes. It really should be no secret how much I love Steve Cavanagh, particularly the Eddie Flynn series. I was an instant fan as soon as I picked up Th1rt3en and have now worked my way through all the books in the series, except one. As I’ve mentioned once or twice before, I absolutely love Cavanagh’s style. I tend to get through his books in record time and I’d like to think that I am familiar enough with his writing. It’s enjoyable and thrilling…

Book Review | Twisted by Steve Cavanagh
A massive thank you to Orion Books, NetGalley and Steve Cavanagh for giving me a chance to review Twisted before it’s released to everyone else. I became a fan after finishing Th1rt3en and was dying to get my hands on Cavanagh’s new book as soon as I heard it’s going to be published in 2019!

Book Review | The Plea by Steve Cavanagh
Can I get a woop-woop! I’ve finished the 4th book of 2019, and what a treat that was! The Plea is the second book in the Eddie Flynn series. In my opinion it can be read as a standalone, although I would suggest to read The Defence (Eddie Flynn #1) first as it does refer to it a few times throughout.

Book Review | The Defence by Steve Cavanagh
The Defence is the first book of the Eddie Flynn series. I picked it in high hopes it will get me back on track during the biggest reading slump, ever. If it wasn’t for the dreaded slump I would probably have got through this book in a day. It was that good! I grew fond of Eddie Flynn in Th1rt3en and I was delighted to be reunited with him. Cavanagh did not disappoint, that’s for sure. This legal thriller will keep you on the edge of your seat from the very start. “Members of the jury, it’s a pleasure to be here with you all. Ms Sullivan spoke today for…

Book Review | Thirteen by Steve Cavanagh
Thirteen was a complete judge-a-book-by-its-cover purchase for me and let me tell you it did not disappoint! I’ve never read any of Steve Cavanagh’s books before, but I will definitely find a way to get my hands on the Eddie Flynn’s series. To go with Clare Mackintosh’s words it was “a belter of a book”. “Words never weigh so much as when they’re spoken for somebody else.” Although the real killer is known from the start of the book, the author has described the whole trial process in so much detail and made it so interesting that I just didn’t want the book to end. I tried to savour it…

21 books in 2021 | Read what you own
Afternoon friends! Am I too late to jump on the 21 books in 2021? Oh well, it’s happening anyway. Oops! Yes, one of my New Year resolutions was to only read what I’m in the mood for and not set a monthly to-be-read list, but an annual can’t be too much of a struggle, surely..? Forgive me, I’m not quite sure if this is a thing, but I chose the books from those I already own, so I can support my doomed-to-fail attempt to not buy *too many* books this year… So here’s the list for 21 books in 2021 (in no particular order) from my current TBR: Tiffany D.…

Unfinished Book Series | Books to finish in 2021
Hi friends, how are you? Hope everything is well with you. As I’m still looking back to last year I wanted to further stop on some of the incredible series I started. They sadly quickly turned into unfinished book series. Mostly because I got struck by either a reading slump or distracted by other books. I started a few series 2020, so today I shall put it out in the universe that these are the books I am hoping to complete in 2021. As you may be aware, one of my new year resolutions was to not set a specific monthly to-be-read list, but simply read what I want, when…

Monthly Reading Wrap Up | April 2020
Are there anyone else who post an April reading wrap up in September? No? Just me? *hides in shame* Look, in my defense I was absolutely consumed with reading, and gardening. That’s pretty much all I did during my free time in the first few months of lockdown. Updating a blog didn’t even pop into my mind during this time. Fear not, I am back, again. This time, I am hoping I am back for good. At least there’s no risk of running out of things to write about as there are about 6 months worth of reading to catch up on. So, without further ado, this is what I…
