Unfinished Book Series | Books to finish in 2021

Hi friends, how are you? Hope everything is well with you. As I’m still looking back to last year I wanted to further stop on some of the incredible series I started. They sadly quickly turned into unfinished book series. Mostly because I got struck by either a reading slump or distracted by other books.

I started a few series 2020, so today I shall put it out in the universe that these are the books I am hoping to complete in 2021. As you may be aware, one of my new year resolutions was to not set a specific monthly to-be-read list, but simply read what I want, when I want and as slow/quick as I want. All depending on my mood. The below series I have actually really enjoyed so far and cannot wait to find out how they end.

DivinersThe King of Crows (The Diviners series) by Libba Bray

Ohh, how I love this series so! This series pretty much rounds up my reading taste

1. It’s mysterious

2. It’s set in the 1920s New York

3. Has a strong friendship group

4. Has supernatural elements

5. Amazing cast of characters

6. It’s just an all rounder! Highly recommend. Especially the audio books, they’re SO enjoyable! I read the first three in a very quick succession but because I’ve seen quite a bit of unsatisfied reviews for the series finale, it’s just not been a priority. Reallllly hope The King of Crows will not spoil the whole series for me..

Good girl Good Girl, Bad Blood by Holly Jackson

Admittedly, one could argue that this isn’t a series? But it’s a sequel to the first so I’m running with it! A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder was such an enjoyable small town mystery with a very-very likeable protagonist, Pip. It also includes a strong friendship group, if that’s your thing.

I’m so excited to return to Pip!

Noughts+CrossesNoughts + Crosses Series by Malorie Blackman

Check my Instagram review for Noughts + Crosses – click here.

I have yet to read the last three in the series, am I emotionally ready to get through it? I don’t know.

Rest assured, judging from the first two – it’s a collection of books everyone should read.

Steve CavanaghEddie Flynn series by Steve Cavanagh

I have loved every minute with my beloved Eddie Flynn.

The Liar is the only one I’m yet to read, and I’ve been putting it off. If I finish it that means the series is done and I am not ready to call it quits with Eddie.

HOWEVER, Cavanagh has confirmed Eddie Flynn no. 6 is in the works and coming; so I can now finally read The Liar! More is on it’s way!!

This concludes today’s post – Unfinished Book Series. Fingers crossed at least one of those books will find a way into my hands this year!

Have you read any of the books listed above? Do you think you will now if you haven’t? Look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Stay safe
